Pretty much common sense but as a wise man once said, common sense isn’t that common.
So take a look at a lot of leaderboards.
Not always the same guys on top but more often than not it’s a choice few in the top five. Three or four times a week some are hitting leaderboards from just normal everyday promotions to their list.
The commissions add up of course and some of those guys could comfortably earn six figures from doing nothing else apart from sending emails to their list.
As for myself, a lot of what I do I’ve learned by split testing, tracking outcomes and tweaking how I do things to get the best results.
But get this, some of it isn’t self-taught. In fact a fair amount of my email marketing expertise I’ve learnt from studying some of the best email marketers around. And it hasn’t cost me a penny (always a win for a Yorkshireman!).
It’s dead easy really but I’ll bet the majority of you reading this don’t do what I’m about to share here:
It’s simply this, if you see someone regularly on leaderboards for affiliate promotions, get on their list and observe how they do it! Join their list, read their emails, check out their support, swipe their broadcast, look at the content to sales ratio, track the frequency, see how they operate their follow-up sequences and everything else you can think of.
Without a shadow of a doubt, it’s the BEST training you can possibly get.
Studying someone who is in a position that YOU want to be in, and doing your very best to see how they’ve got there!
What you’ll find after doing this a few times is that there is NO ONE SYSTEM. There is no right and wrong way of marketing to your list. The people who are hitting these leaderboards time after time have simply found their way of doing things.
Now that’s not to say you can’t replicate it and add your own personality in there – you can. And watching how they do it will give you a MASSIVE leg up onto the success ladder – much more than starting from scratch would.
And it costs nothing other than your time!
